In spite of claims by others of new and more expensive rubber, #39 still remains the best, most buoyant and most flexible. Combine this with the unmatched First Wave Pullover and First Wave Bibjohn design and you have the ultimate wetsuit.

Black Pearl — The Black Pearl Pullover and Black Pearl Bibjohn has the same design features as the First Wave, but with a more affordable Yamamoto #38 SCSTM Super Composite Skin rubber. This is the next best rubber on the market making the Black Pearl almost as fast and just as durable for less money. The Black Pearl is so fast it is far from being an entry-level suit.

Speed Collection — This collection of Speedtube 2, Speedtube 5 and the new Speedvest are great pieces to wear in waters too warm for a full wetsuit, and without losing the flotation speed advantage. These can be worn alone or in combination with any other T1 piece. All are made of #38 SCSTM Super Composite Skin rubber. The Speedtube is a 3/4-length pant that ties at the waist and comes in your choice of 2mm or 5mm thickness. The Speedvest is a 2mm sleeveless top with improved fit, float, and comfort.
