What makes ours different? Our Skin Cooler fiber is designed to feel and perform like silk (from a silkworm). Through Biomimicry, we took the virtues of this natural fiber and created a synthetic silk. It will keep you cool in hot weather and cooler when it is wet. Put it on and you will instantly feel the cool sensation. Wet it and you will notice a drop in the surface temperature of the skin between 7 and 10 degrees.
A MEDICAL TESTIM0NIAL: We received this letter from Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon Dr. Michael Bax.*
I am an avid runner and triathlete and I recently discovered your Skin Cooler products, of which I'm a huge fan. I have been wearing them for a few months now and couldn't be happier. I am a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. Every patient I see is plagued by basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, or melanoma. I recommend your products to my active patients on a daily basis. It allows them to continue their active lifestyle while protecting themselves from the sun. I find your product to be far superior to all other cooling and sun protective lines. I truly appreciate your efforts and innovations.

Note: No garment should ever be a substitute so we always recommend you wear sunscreen underneath these, and all, products. It is crucial to keep in mind that a sunscreen's (whichever brand you may choose) SPF/UPF rating refers only to its ability to protect skin from UVB radiation. Because we know that UVA damage can be just as insidious, it is essential for the health of your skin that you use a sunscreen that contains the UVA-protecting ingredients of titanium dioxide or zinc oxide.

I have used this suit 3x for 60-80 mile rides and have run off the bike once in it. August in Texas, so hot and humid. Fit is good. Pad is not too thick. Don't have any areas around the neck that catch wind so it fits well. I am a solid 6-2 and 195#. Large might be a little loose if I was <185. Material feels good and durable. Pockets are functional and well placed. Nice upgrade from my Castelli race speed suits. I have not swam in this yet.
I'm 6' 2" tall, weigh 180 lbs, and have a 34" waist. I was concerned that a "large" Forza Flisuit might be too short. I contacted DeSoto and was told the "large" would be OK. That's what I ordered, and it fits fine. The Forza Compressor fabric gives a tight but not uncomfortable fit. I haven't needed the Fli-fly (yet), but it looks like it's going to come in handy. So far, I've only used the suit on some bike/run brick workouts (no swims), but it feels good. I'm looking forward to racing with it next season.
I am very happy with the quality, feel, and look of my Forza Flisuit. I also appreciate that the design includes a fly-fli (a big selling point for me). I was comfortable and easily recognized during the Superfrog race. I even received a few compliments on the suit during the race. I'd also like to mention that De Soto has great online customer service and provided nearly instantaneous responses when I was looking for the right size. The staff at the store are equally nice and helpful. Overall, I am impressed with my purchase and glad that my trisuit is hand built in my home town (San Diego). Keep up the great work!
Overall, I like this suit. Pockets are spacious and very handy. Bottom half of suit fits perfectly, is very comfortable, and the hidden fly is a definite plus. Only drawback I find is that the sleeves are pretty short, which I don't like as much as longer sleeves that are nice and aero.
I recently wore this suit in a super hot 70.3 in Hawaii and was really impressed!! The fit was on point - no chafing or loose floppiness. I also really appreciated the large rear pocket and was able to carry all of my bike and run nutrition in there without compromising performance at all. In training for Kona I'll continue to rock the Skin Cooler products, they really do the trick in the heat!!
