Coolwings™ - Skin Cooler 90*
Keep yourself cool and protect yourself from the sun with this De Soto Innovation - A cyclist’s Bolero style top.
Sizing: Please refer to the size chart button above, for guidance on how to achieve the right fit. Sizing is based on "wingspan" measured across your back, standing up, from wrist bone to wrist bone. If your measurement is a little over those shown, don't worry, this fabric stretches a lot and you want the Coolwings to be SNUG against your skin.
Fit Type: Form fitting.
Fit Note: Please do not assume your size, please use our size chart. If in doubt, email questions to email@example.com. Triathlon apparel is meant to fit next-to-skin. This is to eliminate potential chafing, and unnecessary drag during the swim, bike and run. If you’re not comfortable with this type of fit and or are between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Garment will fit the most snug the first time you put it on, it will relax slightly once wet.

What makes ours different? Our Skin Cooler fiber is designed to feel and perform like silk (from a silkworm). Through Biomimicry, we took the virtues of this natural fiber and created a synthetic silk. It will keep you cool in hot weather and cooler when it is wet. Put it on and you will instantly feel the cool sensation. Wet it and you will notice a drop in the surface temperature of the skin between 7 and 10 degrees.
A MEDICAL TESTIM0NIAL: We received this letter from Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon Dr. Michael Bax.*
I am an avid runner and triathlete and I recently discovered your Skin Cooler products, of which I'm a huge fan. I have been wearing them for a few months now and couldn't be happier. I am a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. Every patient I see is plagued by basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, or melanoma. I recommend your products to my active patients on a daily basis. It allows them to continue their active lifestyle while protecting themselves from the sun. I find your product to be far superior to all other cooling and sun protective lines. I truly appreciate your efforts and innovations.

Note: No garment should ever be a substitute so we always recommend you wear sunscreen underneath these, and all, products. It is crucial to keep in mind that a sunscreen's (whichever brand you may choose) SPF/UPF rating refers only to its ability to protect skin from UVB radiation. Because we know that UVA damage can be just as insidious, it is essential for the health of your skin that contains the UVA-protecting ingredients of titanium dioxide or zinc oxide.

Invaluable for Ironman Haines City!
After burning to a crisp at Ironman Gulf Coast in May, I was on the hunt for an amazing product that would protect my shoulders from the sun while keeping me cool on the ride. I first put my cool wings to the test in a 70.3 tri in September in which there was no shade and temps on the asphalt hit 104 degrees. I wore them for the bike and the run. NO sunburn and as longs as these stayed wet they actually felt cool against my skin, come away with an AG win! I then wore them on the ride for Ironman Florida Haines City. Again, they saved the day. No sign of sun exposure on my arms or shoulders. Thanks, Desoto!!!
Saved the run on a hot race day
I absolutely love my coolwings. I purchased them for a recent triathlon expecting a temperature around 90 plus high humidity. I put the coolwings on when I transitioned from the bike to the run and dumped water all over my arms and bank. I immediately felt cool! I continued to wet them down at every water station and was so thankful for this extra way to stay cool. It really saved my run (and my skin, since I was in full sun). Fantastic product that really lives up to its promises.
Second Time Purchase
This is the second time I've purchased this item because I adore it so much--my first one was destroyed in a bike fall and I can't live without it! Living in the southwest, being a melanoma survivor, and suffering an autoimmune disorder--staying cool and sun protected is so important to me. I wear this product under cycling jerseys, tri tops, and running singlets every outdoor workout!
They۪re wonderful. Will order some more.
Best Purchase Ever!
These are the best! I live in Tucson, AZ and wear these every time I ride-I have had several bouts of skin cancer so I always cover my arms. I used to have problems with arm coverings always falling down, but with the bolero style-never a problem! I love them because they are lightweight, yet protect me from the fierce Arizona sun.
