T1 First Wave Pullover*
The First Wave provides ultimate comfort and eliminates restrictions often found in one-piece wetsuits. This is why the T1 First Wave is a triathlete's First Choice!
The two-piece design of the T1 Wetsuits offers more comfort and less restriction. The top and bottom are not attached. This means you have much more freedom of movement and there is no “torso-rubber stretch” or shoulder fatigue that occurs with one-piece wetsuits. All T1 models are sold as separates for a customized and personal fit. With up to seven sizes of tops and bottoms, you have 49 possible size combinations from which to choose. Other features we innovated many years ago include lower necklines and thicker rubber in the legs and hips to help float the largest bones and muscles in the body. More floatation here means more speed. T1 Wetsuits are not filled with gimmicks, just physics.

Proper swim stroke includes swimming with your head slightly tilted up. Imagine how your head would be if you were reaching for something in an upper shelf of a cabinet. That said, the snug part may require a certain "getting use to.” The other part to know is that it will also relax a little bit over time by wearing it. It is important that the neck be snug so that water does not freely flow in while swimming.
Whether you like to swim for exercise or are on the swim course of a Triathlon, T1 Wetsuits offer you speed, comfort and buoyancy that will make swimming pure pleasure!

A suit designed to move with and for you
I spent a good bit of time in my new T1 wetsuit. It was the most comfortable, nonrestrictive, warm wet suit I've tried in my 10 years as an athlete. The bib john was MUCH easier to put on and was very comfortable. I had no issues with the straps chafing at any point in my swim. The best part is the top. Once you get your arms aligned with the arm seams, the rest is cake. The pull over design is easy and it just fits. A swimmers shoulders can not be restricted and this two piece allowed for full, non restrictive motion for my 6.2 mile swim. It's because of the two piece design. There is nothing that tugs on your crotch, there is nothing stretching or opposing the shoulder during the swim stroke. The suit moved with me, not against. As far as staying warm, it's by design that some water will insulate the body. Water came in through my arms and kept me very comfortable temperature wise. I never over heated, nor did I become too cold. I might also note that I had my fastest swim in this T1 suit. 3:30 hrs for 6.2 miles. Very happy with the DeSoto T1. Excellent product.
Love At First Swim
I was always intrigued by the two piece De Soto wetsuit idea but I already had a perfectly good wetsuit (Zone 3 Vanquish) and thus kept talking myself out of trying the T1. But after a few 70.3's and several open water training sessions in the Vanquish I was getting super frustrated with my shoulders burning out way ahead of schedule. So I finally bought the T1 and oh my gosh did it deliver! I found everything I had read about this wetsuit to be true. It is much more comfortable and far easier to put on. Without having to battle against one piece of rubber I experienced ZERO fatigue in my shoulders and coming out of the water the suit peels right off. While swimming you do feel the top creeping towards your neck as you stroke. But I did not feel like excess water seeped in because of this and I had no issues with the suit rubbing against my neck. I am forever a convert and can't wait to line up in the T1 for future races.
Simply the best wetsuit!
Just used my new T1 First Wave Pullover for a 70.3 in salt water. It was awesome! It's light and very flexible. I paired it with a T1Speedtube Bottom. Because of the two piece design the range of motion was phenomenal! Additionally, using minimal lubricant, I had zero chafing (an awesome thing for a salt water swim). Came out of the water with a new PR, second in my AG! I'll never use a brand other than De Soto Sport!
